Peel and stick patches can maintain their adhesiveness for a time, but they’re ultimately intended to be used
in situations where they can be discarded immediately after serving their purpose. Custom made hook and loop
patches can be adhered to an appropriate surface numerous times without degrading.
While the hook and loop fastener option allows the patch to be applied and then removed, it only works in
conjunction with the appropriate piece to attach to. A patch with a hook and loop backing won’t adhere to just
any cloth surface. A lot of the customers ordering these patches already have the softer attachment piece in
place on their shirts, jackets or hats. This allows the patch to be applied immediately upon receipt.

You can also buy industrial hook and loop tape with adhesive backing from your local hardware store. The tape
is designed to adhere to any flat, clean surface like glass, wood or plastic, making this option perfect for
hook and loop patches that aren’t intended to go on fabric. For hook and loop patches that are intended for
clothing, however, it’s important to keep in mind that self-adhesive hook and loop tape will not provide a
permanent attachment. Like our peel and stick patches, industrial hook and loop tape is best suited for a
temporary fix.
